Honestly, it could go either way but I'm hoping that #AtleticoOttawa triumph this time. This has been one of the most exciting playoff pushes in the #Canpl since its inception

The Cavs :cc: ran out winners in their top-of-the-table clash with Pacific FC.

Both teams had some excellent chances, but a Myer Bevan spot kick proved the difference.

I wish they had established a women's league at the same time, though... the #CanWNT needs one to develop talent and be better prepared for the world stage.

I agree; the goal really took the wind out of #ForgeFC.

They were playing hard and then just kinda took the foot off the gas. I don't think the squad quite had enough energy to play out the whole match at that level of intensity, something the #CanPL is still continuing to improve.

Every year, these matches vs. #MLS sides look a little better for a little longer. It's only a matter of time until we see another cupset.

It's been a very entertaining match so far. I really hope we get to see a Cupset tonight. Forge has a chance to do it, and I definitely wouldn't count out #PacificFC in their match against #WhitecapsFC later tonight.

York made a few good offensive attempts, but are completely lacking in defense. If it weren't for their keeper playing superhero, it would have been 4 or 5 goals instead of 2.

As for Winnipeg, they improved significantly this half. It's a fairly balanced squad, which could help or hinder them depending on who they're up against.

Although Valour now sit top of the table, I think they'll be 4th or 5th based on today's performance.

While these two teams are fairly evenly matched, Winnipeg is the better side on the pitch.

That said, these two teams both seem a bit below all 6 squads that played yesterday. So I wouldn't be surprised if they hang out toward the bottom of the table this season.

Hopefully, they're just shaking out some match jitters, and we'll see a bit more in the second half.

With how they play, it looks like any match against Vancouver is going to be a single goal match until their defense is solved. They have a very solid wall, but not a whole heck of a lot of attacking capability.

Pacific pulled themselves together and started to perform more as expected, but there were still a fair number of sloppy moments.

It's going to be an interesting season!

While Pacific are clearly a better side, Vancouver has demonstrated that they are definitely a worthy #CanPL squad. They've had a couple of chances and have frustrated Pacific consistently.

Pacific is underperforming, which is a little unexpected.

I was originally rating Pacific in top-3, but they're down to 4th or 5th following the 1st half performance. Hopefully, they will pull themselves together in the 2nd half.
