Oftentimes, these [inspections] are pre-announced so so that means employers know exactly when they are coming in so what often happens then is that they ask workers to clean the workplace and living their accommodations so they looks perfect and sometimes these workers are sent away so that they do not complain to the labor in specs right so l've heard this this from so many workers so the reality is different from what the government is claiming.

I was in awe. So much rhetorical nonsense and hateful gas-lighting vitriol, and then his little Norman Rockwell image of Canada under his leadership.
The problem is, hate and division do not unite a nation or result in good leadership. There is nothing "common sense" about pierre's trumpian approach to wooing his base.
...but the people who can get behind this guy's propaganda: they are stupid, or evil, or both.

Young salmon and trout die in the Cowichan River due to extreme heat and low water levels causing algal blooms. And in a few weeks they might have to start trucking salmon up river (again) from the estuary because the water levels are so low.

My union is currently in negotiations with the Employer/BCGov. I have no idea what to expect. I dare not hope for anything. But I do. Thank god for Unions and Collective Bargaining.

I just got notification that my most recent FOI will be proceeding. It was hung up as the Office determined whether I was worthy of having the fees (~$100) waved. It looks like they might wave them. I'll know shortly and should have a response to my request, or more likely, a request to extend their search time, in the next 30 days.
