Old Cape Spear Lighthouse, Newfoundland

I was invited to accompany @StevenKennard on one of his teaching trips, this time to Newfoundland (1/4 of my family hail from NFLD ).
This lighthouse is iconic and the day was perfect for our only day of sightseeing.

On Sat Nov 12, Melanie Vogel, became the first woman to complete a #thruhike of the Trans #Canada Trail. #TCT

Melanie started at #CapeSpear, #Newfoundland and hiked from the #Atlantic, to the #Arctic, and to the #Pacific Ocean.

Accompanied by her #dog Malo, she completed her epic journey at the Point Zero marker in #Victoria, BC, after some 5 years, 20,000 km, and 26 million steps in a continuous journey through all 4 seasons.
