Private equity increasingly has it's fingers in the US health care system. Heck, my mom's long-time physician switched to "concierge medicine" so he's basically a franchisee of "VIP MD" or whatever the heck it's called. Which is owned by a private equity outfit. Mom pays an arm and a leg annual fee for the "privilege"
