We spent a few hours getting our hands dirty at the Arts Center of the Capital Region this afternoon. The open house really makes it clear that this organization does a world of good in our community.

The instructors were knowledgeable, fun, personable and the space and studio set ups are ample and thoughtfully equipped.

I really should have explored here sooner.

I saw an eye-opening performance of Beethoven op. 130/133 (quartet 13 with the Große Fuge played as last movement) by the Castalian Quartet. I didn’t like that fugue until now. Wonderful interpretation of Britten’s D major quartet too!
