She sensed movement in the canopy above her. Whether it was premeditated or by sheer #caprice, an eagle swooped down from the tree, talons bared, and flew straight at her. She barely had time to react, bending backwards at the waist, as the raptor strafed her, razing the skin from her exposed chest before disappearing again into the thick woods. She stood up, the circuitry beneath her inorganic flesh exposed, and continued on her journey to find her creator.
