@hembrow your post about hypermobility sounded to me just like that.

Rent regulation isn't considered as something missing even by rentees with some micro issues (contract chaining) seen actual problems. However the problem is that construction rates within the cities where car-free life actually works are close to zero, all the metro area growth is in sprawled suburbs feeding well-know #carDependency vicious loops. :(

Car dependence, is having to get the train to Dublin from carlow, to get to the matter hospital injury unit to treat a minor cut because there is no closer injury unit or swiftcare clinc without a car.

Interesting how the Horrific Price of Petrol articles and reports will tell you how to drive wherever you need to to find slightly cheaper petrol, they'll encourage you to spend as much as you can now to save a bit in the future, some will even give you weird tricks about braking and accelerating to reduce consumption.

What the very rarely will do, is suggest you could drive less.

Went for an explore round some of the new housing being built to the west of #Edinburgh. Hundreds if not thousands of new houses, set amongst giant carparks and no local shops or jobs. Locking in #carDependency despite the #ClimateEmergency

Overcoming #fossilfuel and #CarDependency: As Swire said during the meeting, there's nothing wrong with turning an additional lane into a #BusOnly lane. And perhaps it's okay to #convert existing lanes into HOV or #tolllanes. But this idea of continuing to add new lanes when that clearly doesn't reduce #traffic #congestion - that it in fact leads to worse #outcomes including more #deaths, injuries, and #pollution - is just contemptible.
