@owen As someone who regularly uses both #streetcar lines for work and fun, it endlessly galls me how the people responsible for making the service worse use the problems they cause to argue it's not worth investing in.
I don't think #Carbrained councilmembers should be called #progressive anymore. Taking money from #transit equals giving it to #cars, which funds a #police state in service to oil interests, the ones causing #climatechange.

I’ve had to do a lot of driving lately. Another reason why driving shouldn’t be the only way to get around is bc you’re also dealing w/ 1000s of different personalities/temperaments on the road and ppl drive their cars partly based on their temperament. This makes driving really dangerous trying to predict strangers temperament.

Part of the reason people bike and walk less in the winter is because of how we build and maintain our infrastructure. Paths/sidewalks are built at or below grade with no thought to drainage. Cleaning is done to slightly less than the width of the path, ensuring plenty of snow to melt on them. Well, 4-5” of fluffy snow plus whatever the plow throws on the bike path is too much for a #Radmission with studded tires that are only half fat. Had to make return trip on road. Sidewalk cleaning at this point is only intermittent of course. But city streets have had two passes with plows. Truly #carbrained in #rochmn . #wintercycling #minnesota #CarsRuinCities
