Of course the assumption in something like the “intergenerational report” is that these are economic, even commercial, issues. That there will (must!) be corporate entities, labour markets, formal institutions, expensive technologies, etc, involved in a “care economy”.
What if we focused on other ways to care for one another?

Today is International Women's Day!
#GenderEquality is one of our core advocacy priorities.
Our network is employs 50,000 staff, with the help of 30,000 volunteers. In over 1600 service delivery locations, 82 per cent of our workforce are women.
We recently called on the government to address women’s economic security, health and wellbeing in our submission on the value of the care sector, an industry with a workforce of predominantly women.
Without immediate action, women will continue to experience economic, social and health disadvantage at a much higher rate than men.
