Okay, so this is the #CarinaNebula or #EtaCarinaNebula ( #NGC3372). A stunning, bright nebula near the #SouthernCross. It’s HUGE — larger and brighter than the Orion Nebula but doesn’t get quite as much attention because it’s most visible in the southern hemisphere.
My favourite region is in the bottom right — looks like a ribbon, and it’s beautiful.
This is a 9-panel #Mosaic taken using a #SkyWatcher #ED80 telescope in Ha and Sii, and stitched together with #PixInsight.
Total exposure time is something like 40+ hours.

I don't have the tracking equipment to compete with that. I have the optics, but not the tracking.
I've make do by using the publicly available #MicroObservatory, a Harvard Smithsonian project. They make available a half dozen 6" #Mak-Newts, and on this occasion one in Chile. I processed the raw RGB images with my own software.

This glittering star-speckled landscape of “mountains” and “valleys” is actually the edge of a nearby region called #NGC3324 in the #CarinaNebula, where young #Stars are forming.

The #JamesWebbSpaceTelescope's Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) has captured an image of the #CosmicCliffs, revealing dozens of jets and outflows from young #Stars that were previously undiscovered.

#morning. Ξύπνησα κανονικά αν και το ξενύχτησα (πάλι!).
Τελευταία μέρα στην παρούσα θέση μου στη δουλειά. Ήμουν σε αυτή έντεκα μήνες και έκανα κυρίως το μεταφραστή... Δε με ενοχλεί που φεύγω αν και έχω βαρεθεί τη διαδικασία.
Φίλοι παραπονιούνται εδώ και μέρες για την πανσέληνο. Καλά με πάει. Η Αυτοκράτειρα από την άλλη, με προβλημάτισε... Καινούριες γνωριμίες; Τι φάση; Πάλι θα βγω; Μπορεί λέει να μην είναι γνωριμία αλλά μια καινούργια ιδέα... Οκ πιο κοντά στη φάση μου. Θα δείξει...
