The #Federal government's bill to implement a new #CanadaDisabilityBenefit passed #Parliament on Tuesday.

#BillC22, from #MinisterOfEmployment, #WorkforceDevelopment and #DisabilityInclusion #CarlaQualtrough, proposes to create a federal income supplement for low-income, working-age people with disabilities, modelled after the #GuaranteedIncomeSupplement.

But that pales compared to what has happened since Canada expanded MAiD. MAiD’s expanded criteria, allowing euthanasia for those whose death is “not reasonably foreseeable,” had not even come into effect until 17 March 2022.
