34 followers · 5330 posts · Server musicworld.social"Everlasting Love" is a song written by #BuzzCason and #MacGayden, originally a 1967 hit for #RobertKnight and since remade numerous times, most successfully by #LoveAffair, as well as #TownCriers, #RexSmith & #RachelSweet, #CarlCarlton, #SandraCretu, and #GloriaEstefan. The original version of "Everlasting Love" was recorded by Knight in Nashville, with Cason and Gayden aiming to produce it in a #Motown style reminiscent of the #FourTops and #theTemptations.

π§ "She's a Bad Mama Jama" reminds me of the Fall of 1981, living with my BF-for-a-minute and a gay couple in their 40s in a TH @ 17th and Swann in #DC.

π§ Listening to #CarlCarlton's "Everlasting Love" that was a big #RandB / #Disco hit when I was in HS, 1974. Was prepping a toot, searching for the best quality and ran across the *original by #London band #LoveAffair. They had a #1 hit in #Britain in 1968.
The sound isn't the best, but it's worth a watch/listen. Note the #JimiHendrix and #LBJ posters on the wall. Very 1968!
