The russian state has taken control of shares in the russian subsidiary of #French food producer Danone, according to a decree signed by President putin on July 16.

I know. I'm Norwegian, and our most-beloved producer of chocolate, #Freia (objectively considered one of our national treasures, slogan being "A little piece of #Norway" and everything) , sold themselves to #Mondelez some decades back. I and a number of my countrymen have forsworn providing their owners with more of my money until they withdraw meaningfully from RU. This was a hot topic around here last month.

I'll soon resume buying #Carlsberg-owned beverages, though!

Carlsberg agrees deal to offload russia business

In a short statement issued today (23 June), the #Tuborg brewer did not reveal the identity of the buyer and said the deal remained “subject to a comprehensive regulatory approval process”.

#Carlsberg said it could not give an estimated date of competition for the transaction, nor provide further details at this time.
