I decided to be a grown-up ™️ and do some maintenance on Charlie, my car. Fuel filter, oil filter, oil, basic bitch stuff.

The fuel filter has been replaced with an exact copy which is 3mm wider than the original. Meaning the bracket won't close because I have the strength of a stoned sloth.

The sump plug won't come out despite torquing it to exact specs last time.

Charlie needed this stuff but I think she needed a pro.

I don't have pro money.

Felt like an idiot this morning when the car place called to tell me that I had put an engine air filter in to replace my cabin air filter. They just said I was sold the wrong part, but no, I looked that part up in the big book at autozone all by myself. So much for feeling like a self-sufficient adult. Boy, they don’t want people working on their own cars theses days. Had to change a headlight with the only access through the wheel well and couldn’t see a thing. But got it done in the end. Always need to make it more difficult than it should be. #carmaintenance #diy
