- Sleeping Baby is shown (guaranteed during "When a Child is Born")
- Simulcast with a radio station either scrolls along the bottom or is mentioned (a Denis favourite)
- Carols first timer is introduced
- flashback to previous Carols show comes on
- Reality TV alumni comes on (Idol, Voice, AGTetc)

SCOLL WHEN
- First timer is a Reality TV alumni
- a NON CHRISTMAS song is sung (e.g. This is Me from a few years ago)
- David Campbell leaves the host podium to sing
- a performer is pregnant (Marina Prior rule)
- Choir is the only performer for a song
- a performer also did #carolsinthedomain

Just watched the rerun of #CarolsInTheDomain. I rarely watch these carols and now I know why. Overly commercialised (could they possibly mention Woolworths, or Air Canada more times?), few singers I recognise, and the sound mix was awful.

I realise I’m playing into stereotypes, a Melburnian dumping on Sydney’s carols, but I’m looking forward to the REAL #CarolsByCandelight tomorrow night.

Btw, I released a Christmas EP. Maybe next year I need to write a Christmas song with fireworks as a theme to get featured on Channel 7 carols.
