#CarpeJugulum: What a great way to conclude the Witches subseries. Reducing Granny’s POV actually really helped to get a more complete picture of her.

Nanny Ogg had a great arc in this book, taking on more of a leadership role than before. Agnes’ interactions with Vlad were a lot of fun, really great dialogue exchanges.

The conclusion was brilliant, enjoyable payoff and great set up.

The use of vampire tropes and the way Pratchett played with them was very entertaining.

@Cbfoley Yay! I love that one so much. I was doing an English course and we’d a class on gothic parody - I used ‘Carpe Jugulum’ and the jokes in it for my presentation - only other person laughing was the teacher but sure she was the one giving me marks so I was chuffed to find she was a Discworld fan too.
Also the ‘sin is treating people as things’ chat from Granny Weatherwax taught me more about empathy than anything else and changed my worldwide

I was reading #TerryPratchett's #CarpeJugulum and maybe it's just my poorly proof read copy but at one point Agnes is referred to as "Fat Agnes" (capital F). Given that #PTerry was an #Amiga user was that a subtle reference to Fat Agnus?

From what I can tell #Pratchett owned an #Amiga3000...
