#DiceyElementalist is a really cool iOS game that reminds me a lot of the new dice-based #BoardGames like GanzSchönClever and #Cartographers. There’s a fun RPG element and it doesn’t bang you over the head with ads or or microtransactions.

Aa mentioned earlier, I flew to #Denver yesterday. Ends up that #Cartographers is a perfect airplane #BoardGame.

Here are pics of my two completed maps, both named after the city I was flying over at the time of game start. One is Memphis and the other is Broken Arrow. Both scored in the low 40's, which isn't spectacular but also, much better than I get sometimes.

How are all you #Dungeon23 dungeon-stocking #cartographers doing?

Again in March I got behind a few days and caught up again. Each day's room takes me some time more than a few minutes. But I love the exercise, and I am pleased with the resulting dungeon.

I'm way ahead of the pair of 12yos who entered the dungeon at room 1 the day I finished room 9. They are so far doing well and having fun. Just finished their first foray, now got a couple hirelings.

Realized on BGG, there are monthly #solo challenges for #Cartographers so gave one a try. Didn't do March yet because I wanted to get the lay of the land. I tried February's, and I scored 16, just slightly under the average of all participants. Definitely a fun way to play and see how you do against others, using the exact same cards.

Played another #solo #game of #Cartographers and scored much better. A total of 23, which awarded me the title of Master Mapmaker.

Took my time drawing in the map, which was very therapeutic after a rough week.

Wow, first #solo game and I get.... -24 and the title of "Obvious Inkdrinker!"

Honestly, I thought I was doing pretty well but having to fit in some large farms and then large water terrains made the score on the "Shoreside Expanse" card fairly dinky come end game.

My wife had some new watercolor brush pens and it was very pleasant painting in the squares as I played.

Just played #Cartographers for the first time. My wife joined me and it was fun except we realized in Fall, we weren't supposed to be shuffling back in the ambush cards we had flipped.

Bout to play solo one time using some markers to make my map look nice. Will post a pic when I'm done.

I just got the base game since I'm not totally sold on the "roll and write" / "flip and write" genre but this one intrigues me.

Also, do any #cartographers have a map of the "Taco Time" zone vs the "TacoTime" zone? I checked #OpenStreetMap and unfortunately, all the restaurants are mapped using the same #WikiData identifier, despite the fact that "Taco Time Northwest" and "Taco Time International" are completely separate brands and companies with different #wikipedia pages. Clearly a road trip is in order to clean up this taco crisis in OSM. 🌮🌵🚨
