I bought #Cartographers at the store last night and both the apps for it and #CartographersHeroes this morning.

This is quite a fun game. It took me several plays to figure out the scoring. I kinda suck at it. But that’s ok, it’s fun.

My first expedition in the "Realm of Frost Giants" went badly 🥶
I like the new map, there are fields where you have to draw a certain terrain type. You get points if you got them. You also get points for surrounding the lake, but I didn't get so far ❄️

I got #CartographersHeroes back to the table this evening, with the Frozen Expanse map pack. The pack definitely made the game trickier: some spaces are faintly pre-filled (scouted) and can only be used for terrain of the specified type. They also score extra during Summer and Winter. It gave an extra dynamic to decision-making, as did the submarine in the middle of the map that gives 3 coins when surrounded. A nice variation on the game, and good for when I want more of a challenge. #BoardGames

My daughter and I played Wingspan for the first time late this summer, and we immediately fell in love with it. Such a calm, happy game. We played cooperatively, trying to work together for a high score. Such fun.

I can't get anyone to play Pandemic now, family members are all "too early go away". Maybe in a few months... :)
