The boys promote an event they call "Christmas in July" . The idea is that you take comic books you can spare and the last Saturday in July put them in in your area. My child wants to get rid of the Archies that once were a complete obsession. These photos show how we plan to celebrate.

Getting ready for the last day of . It has been a fun time. Some of the standouts: interacting with the boys Ed Piskor and Jim Rugg as well as cool cats Brett Parson, Michel Fiffe, Richard Case, Bridgit Connell and Matt Kindt.

I bought some art, piles of cheap comics and a lot of books directly from the creators. Weekend well spent!

I have never heard of "doujinshi". But basically it sounds like just what I would call "small press comics". That's what we called them in the 90s. If you made a comic and photocopied it and mailed it you were making small press comics.

I understand, though, that doujinshi specifically refers to the Japanese small press comics trend. Very interesting!

This is the kind of shit that would be in back in the day.
