The ancient Caiy Stane, measuring 2.75m high and 1.55m wide and standing beside a residential road in the southern suburbs of Edinburgh. The impressive 3.2m high Maiden Stone in Aberdeenshire. This Pictish symbol stone is thought to have been carved in the 800s. The enigmatic 1.5m high Raasay Pictish symbol stone, standing beside a road on the island of Raasay and one of only a few Pictish stones to have been found in western Scotland. This is actually a replica placed here in 1991 when the original stone was moved to the shelter of a nearby church, where it is on display.
