As we officially kick off #CASAM2023 let’s look back at the first Annual Meeting for the Canadian Society of Anaesthetists (a short-lived precursor to today’s CAS).

Held at Niagara Falls, the meeting was jointly hosted with the Interstate Association of Anaesthetists, the New York Society of Anaesthetists, and the Ontario Medical Association. Special guests included the luminaries of anesthesia, Dr Arthur Guedel (USA) and Dr H Edmund Boyle (UK).
