#Seacliff State Beach repair work on 1/12/23. The photo on the right is the picnic area walkway repair with crews preparing the area for the large boulders that will help protect the walkway. The left photo shows the large boulders stacked that presumably help protect the walkway from the waves.

#Seacliff State Beach is a popular picnic and RV area. It is a destination for central valley residents escaping the summer heat.

On the good news side, the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District announced the purchase of the Cloverdale Ranch that will add 6,300 acres of open and protected coastal space. The sale should close early next year, per the #SFChronicle, 12/13/22.

Bordering the CA state parks of Ano Nuevo, Pigeon Point, and Butano, this significantly adds to the connected greenbelt of more than 65,000 acres throughout the greater Santa Cruz Mountains region. https://www.openspace.org

Gorgeous visit to Henry W. Coe State Park, near Morgan Hill, California. It’s the second largest state park in CA. Hadn’t been since pre-pandemic, and now twice within a month! (I used to visit more often) This spot was new to me, will definitely need to go back.
