My friend Tim tried to walk from Melbourne to Castlemaine (~120km) in 2 days to settle an argument on how fast diggers walked to the goldfields.

Chinese prospectors often walked the journey from Robe to the Vic goldfields (~400km) to avoid the racist import tax in Melbourne.

M Ward was excellent tonight at the #CanberraPlayhouse with his Melbourne touring band, as was the support act #FolkBitchTrio. Easily the most enjoyable live concert I've attended in #Canberra. If you're close to #Queenscliff, #Castlemaine, #Melbourne, #Brisbane or #Eltham over the next few days, it's well worth catching him on his brief tour of south-east Australia.

Finishing off preparations for my intro to gardening course at the Castlemaine Community House tomorrow. I can sneak in an extra person if you want in. It's a bargain course! 12 hours for $50. Women and non-binary only for this course.

My focus is on practical, accessible, edible gardening for people on a budget. Each course works specifically to the needs of the participants and we have a heap of fun learning and growing together.
