The management of the have posted updated plans with a high-tech movable floor that can be reconfigured between a traditional movie-theater rake and the terraces thing they want for live shows. I watched a trio of Buster Keaton shorts at the as part of put on by the San Francisco Silent Film Festival silentfilm.org/

This might have been my first time in the balcony at the Castro—the screen image and audio was quite good, and the ornamental features of the theatre are amazing.

The seats are very narrow, though, so less accommodating for American-sized patrons
