I've also told the De Anza Flea Market that I won't be attending in early September. I won't be allowed to lift stuff or bend down. So it's just safer not to.

I'm sure there are people who are unhappy with the results of their #cataract surgery; but I'm not one of them, and I don't know any of them. Also, the surgery was quick. painless, and not particularly scary. If this is something you're facing, don't sweat it.

I had left phacoemulsification + IOL on Tuesday and am finding the post operative anisometropia very challenging. Thankfully healing seems to be going well and the antibiotic/steroid and glaucoma drops are becoming less painful to instil each time. Does anyone have any tips for coping? I think my few remaining brain cells are being fried attempting to cope with my new visual reality 😮

So, I got new glasses today following my two recent #cataract surgeries. First new #glasses I've had since a year pre-covid, and given the surgeries, this is the most dramatic change in my vision ever. Vision was pretty good without #glasses, but now--so much detail! The world is CRUNCHY! REALLY want to see the stars, but given #Oregoncoast weather, could be weeks or months. Sigh. #stargazing #skywatching

On the mend, so to speak, from my first #cataract #surgery, which was Tuesday afternoon. Now I am far-sighted in only one eye, til next month. And forever relegated to reading glasses, but that's better than the all the time ones. I am actually avoiding much computer til my eye better adjusts to light, but wanted to say hi.
