I think (with help from iNaturalist) that this is a Knot Grass Moth caterpillar.
I was happy to see it eating the lady’s mantle, as it’s the first time I’ve really noticed *anything* eating lady’s mantle and always thought it was a bit ecologically useless.
Might be it is great for lots of things, and I’ve never noticed…

Was startled by the size and speed of this caterpillar, which turned out to be an Elephant Hawkmoth. I forgot to add something for scale, but I'd say it was at least 8–9 cm long

It has been a couple of days since posting about the Large White and Small White caterpillars. They have been very busy eating the Brussel sprout plants. There are now easily over 1000 large white and about 10 small white caterpillars on 6 plants.

These last few days, my Brussel Sprouts have been absolutely devoured by hungry, hungry caterpillars. This is definitely the right time for survival, as all early August caterpillars didn't survive the wet days longer than day 3.

Unknown species, new sighting 2023 in UK garden.
This little caterpillar is about 2cm long. It developed inside a healthy plum fruit and then emerged almost colourless, before turning slightly pink, once the plum started to discolour / start going over.
If anyone can ID this species it would be very helpful, thanks in advance.
