- do you have a brand/model recommendation?
- did you worry that the microchip’s location in your cat might be “wrong” and not trigger the sensor?
- after the lid opens, how far away can your cat move and the lid /stays/ open? << genuine question!

Day 1: food A
Day 2: finish A and start B
Day 3: B
Day 4: finish B and start A.
Can't remember what food it was. Small cans.

I used to be strongly in the grain-free camp, but I'd better grab something cheaper ATM because money stuff. So I have to make the decisions all over again. And even when I narrow down a brand, it's like ... beef, chicken, duck, lamb, fish, deer?
I guess fish. I already know our #cats like fish. And while they're resiliant, and I'll still be switching carefully, this should make it easier.
But then again, what if I'm depriving them of nutrients and variety by not picking lamb instead? The fish food is actually chicken and fish, but can cats appreciate the nuonse between chicken and duck?
They're not even picky cats! Yes, oddly enough. So why am I still overthinking this?

Happy Birthday, Heidi! 🥳😸
She was a feral kitten alone in the local park. I calculated her birth to around June 27, 2021.
At two years, she still plays like a kitten, eating nothing but meat, seafood, and limited dairy--mostly raw and organic. Much like her carnivore human!
Today, she's getting extended playtime, new toys, extra treats, and only the goofiest baby-talk, as she demands and deserves.

Tonight, I opened some food, which had me getting swarmed. I set one plate of wet food out, and open a second can and distribute that on a plate too.
With so many cats, it's still not a LOT of wet food per cat, but it's more than the taste they usually get. Even the shy ones are getting some before it's merely smears on the plate!

#Lidl isn't really the place for adjective spotting, though. That place is #Waitrose. Almost everything suffers from the Waitrose Adjectives Added Tax. Even the cat food.
My first thought, upon seeing this years ago, was "How do they know that the cat food is tender and succulent?" Then I did the research and discovered that there's a whole job title that I never theretofore suspected to exist. (-:

My cats only enjoy jelly-based foods. Their favourite pouches appear to be (in order):
• Gourmet Perle jelly
• Felix As Good As It Gets jelly
• Sheba jelly
Gourmet reduced their jelly option & hiked the price, so we typically go with Felix, but we'd like to increase the variety of jelly food pouches we give them.
Any suggestions?
