I saw the first real sign of acceptance today! Rufus jumped up on the bench where Stella was sitting and touched faces in greeting. They sat together for a while, though I didn’t get a great photo of it. Since she arrived in December I’ve had several moment of despair, thinking they’d never get along, but 6 months later this gives me hope they may even become friends… #CatIntroductions #CatsOfMastodon

And since I just rescued her last weekend; here is my #catintroductions post for Stella. She’s still settling in, I hope she and Rufus (my other cat) will become friends. She is about 8 years old and was taken to the shelter after being found on the streets. Poor little thing has no teeth, but she is a very pretty calico/tabby girl. I just responded to a #catintroductions post so I wanted to do the same! Meet Rufus, he is a 14 year old medium hair ginger tabby, I got him from a rescue when he was a kitten. He and his sisters were found eating roadkill. He was really too young to have left his mother and spent a good few months with his head under my chin sucking on the neck of my tshirt. Now he is a dignified senior cat and very picky about what he eats! (Photo shows fluffy ginger cat curled up on a tray of jigsaw pieces).
