Today I discovered the hashtag CatNames. And the simple reasons why we gave them their unique names.
Okay, here we go:
Neo
(from the movie The Matrix)
Caine
(from the original tv-serie Kung-Fu [Kwai Chang Caine])
Kal-El
(the kryptonian name from Superboy/Superman)
The first two cats are unfortunately long gone. Kal-El is now two years old, has been with us for one and a half years and lives up to his name.
Fuuka may soon be renamed Chie, for all the physical damage she causes.
TRIAL OF THE DRAGON! *pounce*
Btw, the Comrade General would like everyone to know that his real name is Iskra, but since nobody could remember nor pronounce this, we had to translate. We believe this speaks volumes about Americans facility with foreign languages.

@jdmyeepa I realized many years, and cats, ago that kitties seem to learn vowel sounds. So we never have two cats with the same two vowel sounds. And when adopting an adult shelter stray I test out various two syllable combos to find what they respond to, then base the name on that combo.

#cats #catadoption #catnames I may be adopting a new girl kitten/cat (she's around 6 months old) and building my list of possible names. Seem to be focusing on stellar/constellation-type names but looking for suggestions. Thoughts from the hive mind would be welcome!
