I was struck by the turkey vultures flying all around the building in Calicoon, NY. As we left, I turned around one more time to capture that moment. I didn't get the vulture very well, but I sure love that sky. 😀

My son and I camped for the night at Echo Lake after hiking up to Overlook Mountain. The trail was wet, rocky and slippery. But it was well worth the effort.

Took these yesterday on Overlook Mountain in the #catskills. This is the skeleton of an old resort that burned down long ago.

As we humans gain wisdom, lower our population and retreat to designated inhabited areas , the things we leave behind will turn into gardens!

A comforting thought.

Took a stroll at #PeachHillPark in #Poughkeepsie this afternoon. Hazy skies obscured views of the #Catskills . Grassy paths haven’t been mown lately and we’re crawling with ticks. Plucked a few dozen off ourselves and dog already. No wonder the place was deserted. Should’ve stayed home. Time to relax with a bourbon and maybe a nap. #HappySunday
