They’re a colourful forest parrot and hang out throughout eastern Australian woodlands, forests, and gardens.

Feeds on fruiting trees and seeds and often comes to gardens and feeders… like many birds these days, they’ve become somewhat urbanised. Some are bred and kept as household pets.

Interesting fact: Life expectancy of the Australian king parrot in the wild is unknown, but some pets have been known to live up to 25 years.
