To anyone who's been forced to #migrate #databases from one #mysql server to another (Both VMs in my case), aside from stopping whatever's writing to the database so you can pull a clean and complete backup, what other things should I be looking out for?
I haven't had to do this kind of thing for ages (like.. a decade?) and I'm wondering if there are any new #gotchas or #caveats I need to look out for.
Thanks in advance.

On why you can believe in whatever you choose #caveats and I'm fine with that
Caveat: Provided that you're fine with me believing whatever I choose (also).
Caveat: Provided that both of our beliefs are ethical. We are both fine with other people believing differing beliefs - provided their beliefs are good, or rather, have non-violent intentions.
Non-violent good beliefs. What a different world that would be! You may say I'm a dreamer - and I am. Though not most of the time.
Caveat: Watching a film in which actors portray violence on the "big silver screen" or the "small digital screen" - is not a violent belief (evidently). Neither are non-violent "violent" computer games.
Violent beliefs develop and one day they will inevitably end, by people believing that others must believe in their beliefs. Belief enforcement?
Where do they get these beliefs in enforcing beliefs from? From books? social media? and other people?
However, you, the good people, can believe in whatever you choose #caveats and I'm fine with that.
Caveat: Please don't believe that we can keep on burning fossil fuels - because that belief is causing some extremely serious outcomes.
Beliefs and understanding are not the same quality.
