Survivor may seem to be just a TV show, but there’s a reason it’s still on, 23 years later. It has gathered a huge following of fans, and continues to do so. I went to #Survivor finales and met still more people. Eventually, I had to close the websites, but Survivor remained a constant & I remain friends with people from that time today.

When the itch to talk Survivor returned, I spoke to one of the people I’d met at finales, Rob Cesternino from The Amazon & All Stars. After a couple podcasts with him, I proposed reincarnating my most famous column as a podcast, and thus the Why ___ Lost podcast was born!

23 years ago today, the very first episode of #Survivor aired. While some of you may look at this and wonder why I’m mentioning the anniversary of a #TV show, this show literally changed many things about my life. I began writing about it, eventually expanding to becoming the owner/publisher/editor of a website, which grew to four websites. I made numerous friends as we brought on writers and editors to cover not just Survivor but many other shows as well.
