#BOTD: C.C. Beck (June 8, 1910 – November 22, 1989) was an American cartoonist, best known for his work on Captain Marvel (today known as Shazam!) at Fawcett Comics and DC Comics. Beck was awarded an Inkpot by the San Diego Comic Con in 1977. He was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1997.
