David Byrne - The Complete Score of The Catherine Wheel

Someone on here shared a review of the new Complete Score RSD release, which reminded me I had a copy of the original vinyl pressing. I thought for a minute about tracking down this new version, and checked Discogs, but the review mentioned it had been released as CD a number of years ago and that was easily available. I like to believe I’m pragmatic in my music collecting habits.

Brought this one today before even having a listen to it. "2023 Ver." is just a nice way of saying "re-recorded without Garam" but I honestly didn't expect anything different. Also always a bit sad when half the album is just re-released tracks from previous releases.

I like the new songs tho. Especially Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard's Wife. Fire In The Belly and Unforgiven are also great!

you buy a second hand album, automatically assumed it to be a somewhat regular sized square and didn't check further, and when it arrives it turns out to be as big as a vinyl sleeve. Doesn't even fit in my CD shelve 😅🤣.

@astiga reminds me of when "" try to get stuff for free in return of exposure. Beside that most people will complain when influencers when do it, but don't give it a second thought when a big company like Spotify does.

my favorite 'Warrant' .

'Dog Eat Dog' is their third released in 1992. At this point they aimed for a more 'heavy' and less 'glammy' production, which in my opinion was a great choice. The songwriting is great as well! 🤘

Got this one in a few days ago. So sad they already disbanded. I quite liked their music. But I guess that's the fate of many small kpop groups.

It's an interesting packaging tho. While being a just a paperback book, you can flip it around. With both sides having a contrasting concept (light & dark) with the CD in the middle separating the two. It's simple yet fits the "contrast" theme.
