When ADHD does not co-occur with celiac, research has seen limited or no improvement in ADHD symptoms. When there has been noticeable improvement, it has been for the symptom of hyperactivity only.

Some children who displayed ADHD-like symptoms actually had celiac or non-celiac-gluten sensitivity. When celiac disease or non-celiac-gluten sensitivity was diagnosed and actively treated, those symptoms cleared up because the children did not have ADHD.

Elimination diets that focused on artificial colors or preservatives were more effective at alleviating ADHD symptoms than those that eliminated gluten.

Tonight's dinner was fish and tots. The fish is made with a gluten free batter because my daughter has #CeliacDisease which is not uncommon in people with #DownSyndrome. When I make this I use a beer batter made from GF beer.
Alice saw the cans and saw "gluten free" and asked if she could have it. No, you can't. Alice is 20 and starting beer right now is a bad idea. She doesn't have much restraint.

So called #GlutenFree #Oreos contain #Oats and as such should not be labeled Gluten Free in Canada, as oats are a gluten. Not everyone who has #CeliacDisease can tolerate oats, I am one of those who can't. Now I have to make another trip to #Walmart to return them. 🤬🤬🤬

Because of the #SnowStorm they served fruit and cereal for lunch. And I can't eat the cereal because I have #CeliacDisease and can't tolerate #Gluten and I'm #lactoseintolerant

With the continued high prices of food, I looked at submitting for a medical tax credit for my 2023 #GlutenFree diet. Holy administrative burden, Batman! It's on the person with #CeliacDisease to calculate the average cost of the specific GF foods compared to the average cost of comparable gluten-containing foods. You have to keep all receipts, plus proof of GF food prices (i.e. flyer clippings, digital cart screenshots, etc.), plus proof of diagnosis, in case of audit. :holdthepain:
