„In England the fall equinox period was devoted to harvest fairs marked by mummers’ parades in which mythological characters like Robin Hood and Maid Marion danced with animal archetypes like the Hobbyhorse.“
„As the syllable hob usually indicates a connection with the #Otherworld, the hobbyhorse is thought to derive from Celtic practice, perhaps related to the horse goddess Epona.“

#Celtic: In #Breton beliefs, the #Bugul Noz ([byɡylˈnoːs] "Night Shepherd") is a fairy spirit who lives in the woodlands of #Brittany. He is the last of his kind and is said to be incredibly ugly, which causes him distress. His appearance is so awful that even woodland animals avoid him, and he sometimes cries out to warn humans of his approach, so that he won't frighten them. Though not malicious (indeed, rather kind and gentle), he is always alone because of his hideous visage.
In Anatole Le Braz` mention the Bugul Noz seems less frightening in appearance. Rather than being a spirit to be feared he might, "fulfill a beneficial office, in warning human beings, by his coming that night is not made for lingering in the fields or on the roads, but for shutting oneself in behind closed doors and going to sleep. This shepherd of the shades would then be, take it altogether, a kind of good shepherd. It is to ensure our rest and safety, to withdraw us from excesses of toil and the snares of night, that he compels us, thoughtless sheep, to return quickly to the fold."

The hero`s epithet Glúngel means „with the white-knee(s) or also `with the shining kin`. The #druid teaches #CuChulainn the #Ogham Script and makes the first three judgments in Míle's conquest period.

Muirgen, son of #Ireland’s chief bard, Seanchán Toirpéist, dreamed the true story of the Táin Bó Cúailnge. He fell over dead in the king`s court upon the conclusion of the recitation of the lost tale of this cattle raid to the Cooley Peninsula, frightened by the apparition of Fergus`s ghost he had invoked at his grave.

„Macsen Wledig, the Emperor of Rome, dreamed one night of a lovely maiden in a wonderful, far-off land. Awakening, he sent his men all over the earth in search of her. With much difficulty they found her in a rich castle in #Wales, daughter of a chieftain based at Segontium (Caernarfon), and led the Emperor to her. Everything he found was exactly as in his dream. The maiden, whose name was Helen or #Elen Luyddawg, accepted and loved him. Because Elen was found a virgin, Macsen gave her father Eudaf Hen sovereignty over the island of Britain and ordered three castles built for his bride. In Macsen’s absence, a new emperor seized power and warned him not to return. With the help of men from Britain led by Elen’s brother #Conanus (Welsh: Cynan Meriadoc, Breton: Conan Meriadeg), Macsen marched across Gaul and Italy and recaptured Rome. In gratitude to his British allies, Macsen rewarded them with a portion of Gaul that became known as Brittany.“ #Celtic

`Imbas Forosnai is an ancient #Irish ritual for looking into the future and seeking information through dreams. Imbas means ‘inspiration’, in particular the sacred poetic inspiration of the ancient Filidh, and forosnai means ‘illuminating’ or ‘that which illuminates’. According to a text named Cormac’s Glossary, it involved the use of sensory deprivation and the consumption of specific substances in order to pass into a trance or dream-like state.` #Celtic

After many happy years in Emain Ablach a group returned to #Ireland. One sailor was so moved that he leaped ashore. The eager man could not endure the transition to earthly time. In the #Otherworld, time passes more slowly than does ours, and as all his years caught up with him he died and faded to dust within an instant.

#RangersFC need to sack Beale, his team has no ideas going forward and gives away a soft goal every game.
He's had time and money, wasted both. Act now or kiss goodbye to another season - four games in.
#celtic have a few players who have quality and know how to use it. They know rangers will give them a chance and they take it.
