See above. There is an interest in parallel federation on I2P, that might also use the clearnet if people can afford the hassle of CAs and whatnot.

Grassroots publishers would synergise perfectly with the #censorshipResistant philosophy of I2P and should be supported where possible.

In the past month many use-cases for bitcoin have shown themselves.

From #bankAccounts made inaccessible in #Australia to #Canada, and now in parts of the world where ppl are fighting neoNazis. Its clear that a #censorshipResistant money is needed — even the RubyOnRails creator has come around!

In terms of full privacy for bitcoin, its tough as we don't recommend mixers. Using #BitcoinCore with #I2P or #Tor may help. The more ppl using Tor the better! Monero is also proving helpful.

Yes, Mastodon would face the same scruitiny as Fakebook if it were popular but, the Fediverse is decentralised and would be so difficult to censor that effectively it would be #censorshipResistant, similar to how #bitcoin is.

The signing and #HTTPS is another very good point, yes. And justification for moving to the New Internet.

The #legacyInternet requires trust in third parties known as #certificateAuthorities. The 'NewInternet' does not require this #trust.

The New Internet is quite vibrant and seems to be always growing. It needs to be the future - and thus will be.
