Courtesy of the Lying Rodent, every suburb is infested with endless holes in the wall housing blood-sucking unqualified privateers screwing the unemployed like the little Hitlers they are.

For some of the unemployed, we sometimes felt that all we did was ensure an equitable distribution of misery. Others, we successfully diverted from a cycle of serial unemployment, leading to unemployability.
Since privatisation, local employers tell me that they now appreciate what they've lost. Costs of sourcing staff have skyrocketed.
Efficiently matching jobs to people and people to jobs is a social and economic good.

No, Workforce Australia is a network of private providers 'middlemen' who then supply the jobs and liaise w the jobseekers.
The old CES was direct contact person to person supply of jobs, to people, or staff to employers. No middlemen siphoning off money and making decisions.
#CES were there to provide actual service, their culture was to assist in every way possible and they did a very good job indeed. Actively asked employers to send them jobs available & tried to suit people to work. Even used to issue travel tickets so people could be helped to get to interviews.

#Labor have to do better and stop these immoral job agencies profiting by pretending to help people get jobs but not actually looking for any, or contacting employers & advocating for job seekers.
They bulky & insist jobseekers apply themselves for 20 or more jobs while sending them on useless compulsory courses the agencies run and double dip fees from govt all the time. Or else farm them out for free 'voluntary' labour in so called charities. This is corruption on a blatant scale .
Many like Sarino Russo w #LNP govt connections had huge contracts for years.
The way the #CES operated was honest, humane & effective. Bring it back, employ more trained decent PS to run it properly.
Turn Jobseeking back to a SERVICE NOT A PUNISHMENT.
