I've just heard that Bob Mizon has died. Bob was the longstanding chair of the Commission for Dark Skies (#CfDS), which aimed to reduce #LightPollution in the UK.

I did not know Bob well, but I know that he was a great friend of many people in the dark skies movement. My condolences to you all, as well as to his family.
