Puerarin is a natural product found in kudzu root. Kudzu root is used to make Japanese kuzu noodles - don't know how much puerarin is in kuzu starch, but it's used traditionally as a digestive aid.

New nasal spray migraine medication —Zavegepant — coming out this summer.

Ik kan mij niet heugen wanneer ik voor het laatst heb gehuild, maar het was net in de spreekkamer van de neuroloog! Iedereen die #migraine heeft, ga naar dr. #Carpay in #amsterdam. Bijna klaar voor de #cgrp #remmers. Er is zeker nog hoop!

Ik heb nu al ruim 1,5 jaar zeer effectieve medicatie tegen mijn chronische #migraine (#CGRP #Ajovy) en ik durf nu pas mijn week als ondernemer praktisch vol te plannen. Zojuist de offerte voor mijn 7e (!) opdrachtgever verstuurd. 😃

Ik blijk nou eens eindelijk een goed voornemen in de praktijk te hebben gebracht. Vorig jaar nam ik me voor om in 2022 meer te genieten en meer leuke dingen te doen na 6 jaar van zwangerschappen, kleine kinderen (die heel lief zijn maar niet zo veel sliepen) en corona. En dat is meer dan uitstekend gelukt, 2022 was een topjaar! (Mede mogelijkheid gemaakt door #cgrp injecties tegen migraine). Ik ga gewoon nog even door 🥳

The tl;dr:
- In mice, gut mucosal producing cells contain receptors activated by #CGRP, a neuropeptide released in response to pain.
- Blocking those receptors might mean the gut won’t get the “message” to make more mucus, necessary for gut health.
- Anti-CGRP medications are used to block CGRP (receptors or the molecule itself) in #migraine, to prevent migraine attacks.
