Sunday I posted about a parishioner who was going on hospice. Got a phone call yesterday around lunchtime saying he died earlier that morning. Funeral is tentatively planned for Saturday.

I have a parishioner who’s going on hospice today. A friend of theirs was in church. When I mentioned it, they replied, “We’re praying for a miracle that he pulls out of it.”
What is it about us that we don’t accept death? Who do we want served when we pray for those types of miracles?
Nobody gets out of here alive.
