Mai (the pink ranger, I think) is jogging in the most 80s-tastic booty shorts ever, falls over a rock, and then meets a handsome doctor (who is also in booty shorts) who wants to go jogging with her.

Then a spaceship falls out of the sky and the most adorable stuffed animal Godzilla alien baby crawls out.

We are less than 3 minutes in.

Changeman time!

We're on 25 now, I watched a couple of unremarkable ones so i... didn't remark on them.

This one starts with an office party for the military base, and all the Change Persons have had a turn at karaoke except one, who is literally hiding under a table because he doesn't want to.

The commander orders him to have mandatory fun. It turns out he's not shy. He's terrible at singing.

This will absolutely become plot relevant later on. I guarantee it.

Surprise, they have. They want Red to throw a baseball full of C4 at the monster. Throw it too well.

He does, with virtually no convincing, which is kinda sus ngl. Monster explodes, everybody does kung fu, giant, robot, explosion.

Then a heartwarming scene where Red promises Baseball Child to teach him to play baseball too good once he's older and can baseball responsibly.

Red ranger quit baseball because one time he threw a baseball *too well* and hit his catcher friend right in the face fucking up their shit seriously.

Meanwhile, the monster of the week is heavily armored and only can take damage to his eye, a small target that would best be aimed for by someone who is - dare I say - "too good at throwing".

Are these two very, very different stories somehow going to meet in the middle? It's a mystery.

But that's going to have to wait, because he opens his fridge for a snack and fucking Gozer is inside it. Now shit is flying all around the kitchen, the microwave is shooting flames, and the vacuum got switched from suck to blow

Episode 9 - Space Kyle's henchman have unleashed an octopus spider robot that can transform itself into electricity in a bid to destroy human civilization through evil electricity.

Space Kyle is visibly getting sick of their shit.

Meanwhile we discover that one of the Change Persons was a famous baseballer, but quit so he just drives away on his motorcycle as a child runs after him begging him to show him his "dragonballs". Oh Japan.

Alligatracula(not his real name) drank blood from one of the alien bosses, a guy who looks like a booger, and then they started arguing about consent.

Space Kyle then interrupts in his usual way - appearing as a giant blue torso and head in space and flying straight towards the bad guy HQ (since I don't think I ever mentioned that) so he can explain his complicated plan.

It's vampires

His plan is just to make vampires.

Episode 8 - The Lady Is A Vamp

A child accuses the red ranger of being a rapist, and then suddenly we've got a monster that looks like the offspring of a Critter and an alligator, and then suddenly vampires.

We are 3:25 into the episode.

British Child is the daughter of a commander guy, they're blackmailing him to help get the laser crystals.

Seems well planned, especially coming off Dynaman, where one monster of the week tried to make a rainbow... out of lava...

Episode 5 now. Space Kyle has hired a three -armed rock starfish dude to find and grow crystals the size of skyscrapers that emit laser beams when exposed to sunlight. He even commissioned an artist to paint what it might look like when that happens. It is not the dumbest plan I've ever heard which is refreshing.

Unfortunately, step one appears to be kidnapping the whitest British child ever, and I know she was British because of all the plaid.

Monster of the week in this episode. Looks like two swollen testicles, and it just gave milk to a cat which caused the cat to evolve into a weird werecat person, and finally an actual person.

I am two *fucking minutes* into the episode and one minute of that was theme song. I don't know if I am not high enough or if I am too high, but I AM at the incorrect level of high for this.
