Thanks everyone at for the warm welcome and the interest in all things , and - slides to learn async in go.gitlab.com/nwHFeG

Debugging production with Inspektor Gadget, auto-instrumentation for traces, performance comparisons with eBPF, and more out-of-the-box chaos engineering kept the after talk chats running for another hour.

allies and enemies, my GOTO Chicago keynote is now up for you to enjoy youtube.com/watch?v=AxqX9ovGVi

it covers my potion recipe, the five ingredients that matter for systems resilience, and how we can nurture them across the software delivery lifecycle

…and, ofc, where we can sprinkle in some chaos

hoping it inspires software engineers to extend existing practices / tools not only to sustain systems resilience but also make attackers miserable ✨

If you are new to chaos engineering or if you are stuck wondering what to do, how to drive its adoption across your organization, and how to move forward - this post is for you. It is such a common problem I see in the industry that I thought I’d write up all what is in my head. Sorry if it is long — but that is how I write. Not generated by ChatGPT ;)

Together with @mavi888uy, we published a post of AWS Lambda's resilience strategy (using static stability, multiple availability zones and fault injection) to deliver over 99.95% availability to our customers. Hope you find it useful!

AWS Fault Injection Simulator (FIS) now supports higher resource quotas and quota adjustment using AWS Service Quotas. For example, you can increase the number of instances which terminate from 5 to 200.

Courtney and I recorded an episode of Todd Conklin’s Pre-Accident Podcast that just went live, talking about the VOID report with him. A fun conversation as well. Did you know that the VOID report shows that MTTR - Mean Time To Recover - is a broken metric? Also, we need more near-miss reports, things that went right, to learn from, as well as the outage reports. podbean.com/ew/pb-jnhgc-135706
