I spent a good portion pf the day writing out a few pages of backstory for a character I'm playing in a ttrpg.

Clarise, the clockwork soul sorcerer, was effectively born from her class description, slowly getting fleshed out from there. I suppose it's fitting that my idea of her history, personality, and motivations also mostly came mechanics/gameplay-first. The more I play her, though, the more I get to know her.
