My wife’s Fitbit Charge 4 has been dying for a while, to the point where the display is barely visible. She ordered an upgrade/replacement - a Fitbit Charge 5. And immediately sent it back, because Google opted to add a crap-ton of new “features” but removed the altimeter (for floors climbed) because the new stuff left no room for it.
So now she’s probably going to switch to an Apple Watch SE.
Smooth move, Google!

.@fitbit always comes through. They're replacing my #Charge5 that's glitching and the battery's draining fast. I have done all of their recommended diagnoses. Mahalo, @FitbitSupport!

Today, i have upgraded from the #Fitbit #Charge5 to the #Charge4
My new version just works, and has much better #battery life
The 5 may have added a couple of interesting features (ECG) and taken some away (a decent strap, onboard music), but battery life was the major reason i went back the Charge4
The 5 strap is a weird new design, but more significantly, both me and the person who used it before me got chemical burns from the original (thanks to Aliexpress, replacing was easy)

Nearly 1000 users have asked #Fitbit to bring the Relax app to the Charge 5. Not only has Fitbit ignored them, but they continue to recommend #Relax for the #Charge5 in their rotation of user tips, which is the opposite of relaxing.
