So I did an #introduction post back in April when I first joined, but lots has changed in the fediverse, including me setting up my own instance, so I should probably go again.

I'm not a real-name-on-the-internet sort of person, so you'll have to just invent your own name for me. mvyrmnd comes from a Saab owners forum a million years ago, it's "Move your mind" (their slogan at one time) minus all the vowels. It has the advantage of never being already in use on websites, and the disadvantage of no one knowing wtf it means or how to say it. I still don't know.

#charitybash / #charityrally / #shitboxrally - I have a 1996 Ford Fairmont called Frank that's been done up to survive The Outback. My mum passed away from melanoma a couple of years ago - as a way of "planting a tree" in her memory I decided to raise money for charity in her name by building up an old shitbox into a rally car and tooling about the countryside in it. $4000 raised so far
#selfhosting - I'm trying to make Apple the only faceless megacorporation in my life. Everything else I use is self-hosted, except email. Self hosting email is for chumps
