"My Boomerang" is typical of tasteless #1960s novelty tunes. Indigenous Aussie meet-up is described as a "pow-wow"— w/ chanting sounds more African than Aboriginal. (Oddly, many of the tribal speakers in the song have either Yank or Brit accents.) Worst of all, #CharlesDrake raised eyebrows with the insipid chorus:
I've waved the thing all over the place
Practised till I was black in the face😣
I'm a big disgrace to Aborigine race😖
My 🪃 won't come back!
