#EdgarBergen was one of the greatest #ventriloquists who ever lived. He created a dummy for his act named #CharlieMcCarthy.

Charlie could get away with spicy jokes that were off limits for other entertainers in the #1920s and #1930s.

When Bergen died he left $10,000 to Charlie in his will. He left nothing to his daughter #CandiceBergen. (That's right, #MurphyBrown!)
