@academicchatter @academicsunite using #chatgp3 as an assistant helps reduce the time it takes engineer a code solution. It's really does cut hours of your time. However .... Using it as a research assistant, in terms of searching, it's actually pretty limited. I tried searching for papers by topic, I did five separate tests, returning 25 papers and links. Validation of the links returned a 404. But, searching the individual papers themselves, not one of the 25 papers was actually real.

Request to all publishers, digital & print, can we please stop with all the ‘listicles’? Please? Three things you never knew… five common mistakes… ten ways to… everybody is posting/printing listicles and it sucks quite frankly. Between #listicles and click-bait, reading headlines is becoming a serious aggravation. Proper journalism is long dead. Soon #chatgp3 will be writing everything we see. I fear for our literacy, our context, our perspectives & our right to legitimate news & information.

Seeing people trust #ChatGP3 to generate meal plans for them is genuinely worrying. It is not equipped to accurately give you health info. It isn't even equipped to accurately count objects in a list (I tried it out earlier this week). It is a neat tool for generating text that sounds convincing. That has lots of fun applications, but please don't trust it with your health.

this #ChatGP3 thing is getting uncanny - assuming this is right. It can be more effective to read a few paragraphs than watching a full YouTube video.
